Hearth & Flow Addition/Renovation – Wellesley

We’re excited to begin another collaboration with Sam Kachmar Architects, serving as the builder bringing this thoughtful renovation and addition to life.

This classic New England home is being reimagined for better flow, improved function, and a stronger connection to the outdoors. The scope includes an opened-up first floor, expanded family gathering space, true mudroom, refreshed front porch, upgraded kitchen, living, and dining areas, and a new backyard experience designed for everyday living.

One of the defining features is the covered stone patio and indoor/outdoor hearth, creating a natural connection between the family room and the landscape beyond. Paired with full thermal and mechanical upgrades, solar integration, and carefully coordinated finishes, this project is designed to feel as good behind the walls as it does in the finished spaces.
