OUR TEAM
Meet the Top Notch Family
We are a team of Project Coordinators, Project Managers, Site Supervisors, Lead Carpenters, and Carpenters. We represent an assortment of experiences and backgrounds in the construction industry, and we believe that the journey is equally as important as the final product.
The collective 100 years of experience that our team brings means the difference between a good job and a GREAT job. Above all else, our mission is to provide the highest quality construction combined with unparalleled customer service.
Moses, Justo & Ohannes
After several years of working in real estate construction, site work, and custom building, we took a leap of faith in 2008 and started Top Notch Contracting. It wasn't long before we realized that this family owned and operated business needed a team to accomplish their goals. We went to work on assembling one of the strongest core teams in the construction industry - built on a foundation of sincerity, respect, and honesty. Fourteen years later, that same core team has developed the expertise, vision, and understanding to lead clients through the entire building process.

Ohannes Ortiz
Principle + Ledership
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a great leader.”
Ohannes is Co-Founder of Top Notch Contracting. Under his leadership and with his brothers and family believing it was possible, Top Notch has grown from a Carpentry/Repair business to a Custom High Performance Corporation over the past 16 years.
Ohannes comes from an extensive background in construction ranging from Residential, Real Estate Development, Civil/Earthwork and Commercial Construction. He carries a wide span of licensing that ranges from CSL to Hoisting Engineering and believes in the power of continued education. His passion for building unique and one-of-a-kind projects has been a big part of Top Notch's drive to excellence. He is highly relational and loves spending time with anyone he comes across. He also loves his hot coffee for OAC meetings!
Ohannes oversees initial pre-construction and spends a lot of time on active construction projects making sure the team, clients and professional designers know they always have his eyes and attention. On occasion, you will find Ohannes walking projects that no one is on or sneaking into bulldozers/excavators as site work was one of the biggest attractions to construction for him.
If he’s not reviewing plans or on construction sites, you will always find Ohannes spending time with his family that he adores, serving at his local church or playing pickleball.

Mike Nogueria
Project Manager
Mike grew up in Arlington MA, surrounded by family who were well-versed in General Contracting including a grandfather who was a jack of all trades. After attending the University of Massachusetts Lowell and obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Science, it didn’t take long for him to pivot away from his dream of being a Marine Biologist to follow in his family’s footsteps.
Mike started his career 8 years ago as a laborer for Top Notch Contracting, hauling debris and picking up lumber. In time, he began shadowing leadership and eventually started running his own projects. Over his career, he has worked on projects ranging from basement remodels to custom new construction homes. He even landed one of his builds on the cover of Northshore Home Magazine!
The family atmosphere that Top Notch Contracting provides is a remembrance of his upbringing and motivates him to strive for perfection. If Mike isn’t working towards turning client’s dreams into reality, you can find him on the beach with his dog, playing a round of golf, or cheering on the Boston sports teams.
